Treatment regimen

Levoxyl generic is prescribed only by a doctor after the examination. Taking into account the patient's condition and the course of the disease, the dose of the drug may be 12.5-200 mcg once a day. It should be taken 20-30 minutes before meals. For the differential diagnostic test of thyroid suppression - 3 mg or 200 mcg 1 time/day for 2 weeks is prescribed. A dose of 150-300 mcg/d is prescribed if the patient has a history of thyroid cancer after surgical treatment.

Side effects, contraindications, peculiarities of use

Levoxyl generic can cause hyperthyroidism when taking too large doses of the drug. As a result, there is a disruption of the cardiovascular system. Headache, tremor, sleep disturbance, restlessness, muscle weakness, cramps, menstrual disorders appear.
