Rybelsus contains the active substance semaglutide. It is a medication used to lower blood sugar levels.
Rybelsus is used to treat type 2 diabetes when it is not adequately controlled by diet and exercise in adults
• as the only medication: when metformin (another diabetes medicine) cannot be used or
• with other medicines for diabetes: when these are not enough to control your blood sugar levels. These can be medicines that are taken by mouth or injected like insulin.
